A movie about a group of boys playing baseball in an abandoned lot sparked an obsession with sneakers. Asking family members to draw pictures of
Super Heroes as a kid kindled a love for art and design.
Combining the two has been a lifelong passion.
When not designing new cleated styles for Under Armour,
Derek is an avid traveler, most likely on the hunt for snow, reading a graphic novel, or enjoying a glass of red wine.
